Squad Goals

OK so if we don't think we can win, why play? Well Halflings are just enjoyable (usually) even if you're losing - but we may revisit that one after facing the high TV Chaos Dwarves that are strong favourites for our league.

Here then are what we're looking for from this season:

Pie in the Sky - A non-losing record (achieved once in 5 seasons in the old league)

Icing on the Cake - A score in every game and at least one CAS of the opposition. An AG4 Halfling would be just the ticket too

Meat and Potatoes - 8+ attempted fouls per game, 1 or more throw Halflings landed successfully. A match report filed after every game and all stats updated.

Essentially if we're not playing to win we will have some fun along the way and cause some damage. This whole site exists because the important stats I want to track aren't covered in-game, so I was looking for a way to record them - and it kind of mushroomed. That's what the Google Sheets on the front page will be for.

So what exactly will we be doing? In summary the strategy will be as follows:

On defence: Foul the snot out of every team we come up against. Ideally targeting the most expensive and squishiest player, dragging them down by any means necessary then surrounding them and raining down a hailstorm of teeny hobnailed boots until they limp off to the injury box. Focus on the ball = minimal, likelihood of stopping a score = non existant.... fear factor = higher than expected from such a small and fragile bunch.

On offence: Not really sure to be honest. Against the agile teams I could fairly bashdown the pitch into scoring range and / or chuck a Fling in desparation, but we'll have to work this out as we go.
